Help us free a Belarusian philosopher Vladimir Matskevich who is on hunger strike

Dear friends,

for 11 days now a well-known Belarusian philosopher, public figure and our friend Uladzimir Matskevich has been on a hunger strike in a detention center in Belarus.

He was detained back in August 2021, but so far he has not been charged with anything. Uladzimir has been protesting his illegal detention and now demands either home arrest, completion of the investigation and setting a date for the trial. Uladzimir's family calls on the international community for help.

Please sign this petition calling for the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Belarus to fulfill Matskevich's demands.

Ulazdimir is known in Belarus as one of the key contemporary intellectuals, methodologists, social activists, and presenter of TV channel Belsat.
