How can we also fight ISIS and their power of destruction?

We have a secret weapon: it's our culture, our art and our beauties.

 They destroy. They kill. They want to wipe out art and history.

 They destroyed the ancient Roman temple of Palmyra, the Assyrian artifacts in Ar-Raqqah and Mosul, many churches, temples and other ancient historical artifacts. They beheaded Khaled al-Asaad, a renowned antiquities scholar in the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra. They hung his mutilated body on a column in a main square of the historic site because apparently, he refused to reveal where valuable artifacts had been moved for safekeeping.

Why? Because removing all traces of any previous culture or civilisations is the ideal way for the group to establish its own identity, its own platform of propaganda so it can leave its mark on history.

 We should ask the heads of the European government and heads of States to do the opposite: to open the door of our museums;

 A school visit to a museum in Florence was forbidden because some paintings, including Marc Chagall’s “White Crucifixion,” could hurt the sensibility of the non-catholic families. This can’t be accepted anymore.

 So we can learn, grow and be human beings, we need to know our culture and art in order to be different from the ISIS barbarians and assassins who want to elimiate our cultural heritage.

Let’ s open the doors of our culture! We don’ t have to be afraid.
