Interpreting the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998

Dear Eurobodalla dog owners/lovers The Batemans Bay Dog Park supporters have put a post out recently, drawing our attention to the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. All Councils in NSW must abide by this legislation. That legislation seems to have been interpreted differently by different people and the signage on timeshare Eurobodalla beaches is ambiguous. Council have been contacted and we hope that this will be clarified plainly and clearly for residents and visitors of the Shire as soon as possible. The Eurobodalla Shire Council will soon be putting the Eurobdalla “Companion Animals Management Plan” (CAMP) out on public exhibition. Council have indicated they will not accept this petition because it is not in hardcopy with physical signatures however, they MUST accept individual emails from each of you so when the with CAMP is put out on public exhibition, I will let you know.
