Owners fight back! A fund-raising initiative has kicked off to prepare a legal defense for Irish owners who are being pursued at home by French banks. Many owners were forced into a mortgage default situation when the 'guaranteed' rents they were promised failed to materialise. Often, the French banks were often not prepared to listen or negotiate, the property was re-possessed, and sold for a fraction of the purchase price. Leaving a large debt. While the allegations of mis-selling are being investigated by the DGCCRF, there are owners being called to court here in Ireland and this fund-raising is to prepare a comprehensive legal defense.
