As an Etsy seller, there's nothing worse than getting that dreaded email from Etsy Legal. It's also difficult when you believe you've done nothing wrong, or you had no idea that this person had only recently filed their paper work for a Trademark of a saying that is so generic, you wouldn't think to monitor it. This is the story of many Etsy sellers.

These sellers have violated Etsy's Terms of Use & DCMA policy by strategically providing inaccurate information that would allow them to also begin targeting shops that are not covered by their Trademark registration.

While Etsy does have a policy against bullying and filing false DMCA notices, Some sellers have gone under the radar.

Etsy needs to put an end to this type of abuse.

The purpose of this petition is to bring forth awareness of the ongoing battle that many honest Etsy sellers face when it comes to the abuse of their arbitrary DMCA take down process. Something needs to change. And it starts with us, please sign, support and share this with other Etsy shop owners.
