Petition updateEtsy: Stop selling incest and child abuse themed merch!Etsy child sex abuse dolls: Seller’s sneaky tactics

An Etsy seller is using the platform to promote child sex abuse dolls. While not listed on the platform explicitly, the seller’s Etsy store contains several red flags for child-like dolls marketed for men’s sexual use, including brand names, child-size measurements and faces resembling young and adolescent girls.

The store includes a link to the seller’s full website where sex dolls resembling young teen and pre-teen girls are listed. Brands known for manufacturing child sex abuse dolls feature in numerous listings on the site.

In their investigations, Collective Shout (who is backing my petition) discovered dolls as small as 136cm (the height of a 9yo girl) with the facial features of very young girls. In many listings, dolls were styled to appear childlike, for example, with braids or pigtails, holding lollipops and other props associated with children, and wearing clothing featuring cartoon characters popular with young girls.

Despite appearing to be modelled off of young girls, a number of sex dolls also featured large breasts. This sneaky tactic is used by child sex abuse doll sellers and buyers evade detection by authorities in jurisdictions where buying, owning and/or importing the replica children is illegal (read more about that here).

And Etsy heads STILL want to stay silent on this petition! Let’s ramp things up even more:

➡️ Share the petition (and this update) again to all your socials
➡️ Tag @Etsy @jgsilverman (CEO Josh Silverman) + @fredwilson (Chair Fred Wilson) on Twitter and tell them to stop selling child sex abuse dolls + other pro child abuse merch
