The petition has just hit 15k signatures! I am so encouraged by the amount of public support for this petition. The word is spreading fast!

Did you catch last week’s media coverage on the petition? I spoke to The Herald Sun about the merch Etsy is selling and how it trivialises and eroticises crimes against women and girls:

“As well as the fact these products are placed alongside Father’s Day gifts and baby clothes, they eroticise child abuse.”

“It does not belong on Etsy.”

An unnamed Etsy spokesperson told the Herald Sun that certain products ‘do not violate Etsy’s community guidelines’.

Who is Etsy trying to appeal to? Child abuse fetishists and paedophiles?
