Etsy has done what we presumed - as of July 30th, if you don’t offer free shipping, you’ll find your views and exposure significantly reduced, while everyone who does is placed ahead of you in search. 

I opened a new website, and I maintain an Etsy ship where I’ve raised my prices and caved to free shipping. But not every seller can do that.
