Mahalo nui to everyone who has been supporting our goal of establishing a 7th grade pilot for our Waiau haumāna. Since the Pearl City Neighborhood Board meeting, we have been in continued discussions with our officials about next steps. We encourage anyone interested to contact Senator Elefante and Representative Takayama to let them know your manaʻo.

Special mahalo to Kuʻu for speaking on our behalf, and to Kahea for your support. We are also deeply grateful for the kōkua of Ke Kula Kaiapuni ʻo Pūʻōhala, whose advocacy inspired us and set a standard for uplifting our keiki.

The Board of Education will be meeting on February 12. While the agenda has not yet been set, testimony may still be submitted even if Kaiapuni is not listed. If you have the time, please consider submitting testimony in support of a 7th grade class for Waiau at the link below:
