More than 300 people in the last week have taken the time (and the reputational risk) to publicly sign the RISE petition!
This is exciting. And important. And it's just the beginning.
I thought I'd help us celebrate the end of the week with a video/article demonstrating how conversations about edge innovation can go, when people are coming from a place of curiosity and hope.
I had the honor of interviewing the Intelligence Community AI Wizardess and RISE co-founder Chitra Sivanandam about the edge innovation idea of LACE: Lightweight AI Computing Ecosystem (acronym courtesy of another RISE supporter, Stimson Fellow Dr. David Bray). LACE is a P2P fully decentralized and global AI network.
Here's our fun conversation and the accompanying article.
LACE is just one of the edge science innovations that has been dismissed as impossible or impractical, but is being developed by a few small companies around the world. It takes into account insights from spiritual and indigenous traditions, and it brings the idea of democracy to the fore.
Wouldn't it be great to support and guide edge S&T like LACE at the federal level with involvement from US-based small businesses, faith-based organizations, and nonprofits?
We think so too!
Please continue to pass on the petition to those who will appreciate it!
