Hello everyone,

We wanted to share an important update following the recent presentation at the School Board meeting regarding our request to establish a football program at Angeline Academy of Innovation (AAI) for both middle and high school students.

During the meeting, the presenter  was given three minutes to speak on our proposal and highlight the strong community interest in bringing football to AAI. They emphasized the tremendous support we’ve received from parents and former NFL players, who are ready to assist with funding, equipment, and mentorship to ensure a successful launch.

We also addressed the challenges we’ve faced so far, specifically, our initial request to meet with the Principal and Athletic Director, which unfortunately was declined without an opportunity for discussion. The reasoning provided was that there was “no interest” in pursuing a football program at this time.

In response, We requested that a more experienced mentor be assigned to support the current Athletic Director in evaluating and developing student centered athletic initiatives. We are pleased to report that Speaker Mrs. Cynthia Armstrong, and other members of the School Board, listened  assigned a representative to take the speakers' name and contact information. We were informed that the speaker would receive a call soon to further discuss next steps and continue the conversation about adding football to AAI’s athletic offerings.

This is a positive step forward, and we want to thank everyone who has signed, shared, and supported this petition so far. Your voices are making a difference!

Please continue to share this petition with other parents, students, and community members who believe that our student-athletes deserve the same opportunities as other schools in our district.
