“I would be very sad indeed if Boxted bridge is demolished and replaced. It would be a terrible thing to do.  It needs to be cared for, looked after. It just needs to be repaired like all old bridges. It has just weathered, a lovely quality. Bigger lorries don’t need to go through the Stour Valley.
