Conservative controlled Essex County Council want to close Fryerns and Vange Libraries.
On Wednesday 14th November Conservatives at Essex County Council announced their intention to close many libraries across Essex including those in Fryerns and Vange. A 12-week public consultation period will take place between 29th November and 20th February. https://libraries.essex.gov.uk/libraries-consultation

Labour will oppose this all the way because we know that our libraries form a vital part of the community. Residents don’t just use libraries for books. Our libraries also have Job Clubs, Baby and Toddler groups and Craft Clubs.
These cuts will hit our communities especially those residents that are vulnerable who use libraries as a safe welcoming space. We need to fight for our libraries so let Essex County Council hear your voice clearly by signing this petition against the cuts.
