Help TJX/Winners/Marshalls/Homesense go Fur-Free

0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!

Please help us put pressure on TJX, parent company of Winners, Marshalls, and Homesense Canada, and ask them to remove fur from their inventory.  These stores are selling jackets, vests, gloves, hats, and home decor items like blankets made from the real fur of rabbits, foxes, minks, coyotes, and more.  These fur bearing animals, even cats and dogs often spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages and fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest killing methods available, including anal and vaginal electrocution, suffocation, gassing, suffocation, and poisoning.  Coyotes, trapped in the wild can suffer for days from blood loss, dehydration, and attacks by predators.  All of these animals are tortured and killed simply for fashion.  This is cruel and unnecessary but most importantly it is not just.  Animals are not property and do not deserve to be exploited simply because they are not human and cannot defend themselves. TJX claims to "deliver great value to [its] customers through the combination of brand, fashion, price, and quality".  What about ethics?  Many major brands and designers - including Gap Inc., H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, Topshop, Calvin Klein, Zara, French Connection, Marks and Spencer, The North Face, Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Donatella Versace, Donna Karan, John Galliano, Michael Kors, Gucci, BCBG Max Azaria, Diane von Furstenberg, and  even London Fashion Week have decided to go fur free.  Some cities - Berkely and San Francisco - have banned the sale of fur and many other cities are working towards this goal. The trend is clear - people are recognizing the injustice of the fur industry.

Several in-store disruptions and hundreds of phone calls have already put pressere on this company.  Some store managers have already agreed to remove fur items from the floor.  Now we need the CEO to agree to drop fur completely.  The good news for TJX and its family of stores - they will not lose customers and they will not lose money if they drop fur.  These stores do not make the bulk of their money from selling fur.  There is simply no reason to continue.  Please sign and share this petition and phone 1-800-646-9466 to ask TJX to ditch fur!
