Many fisherman in areas such as Norway, think that harp seals and many other species of seal are hurting the fish population, but that's not true. Seals don't just hunt fish for fun, they eat this fish and other aquatic life to stay alive. Seals, are like the the Great Wolves of yellow stone park, once taken out of the ecosystem, everything goes down hill, but having them keeps everything in order.

Seals are already effected by the pollution of man kind, and dying because of it. People are doing more harm than they think. There is no reason to harm these animals, and the most targeted are the baby seals. Honestly, who and what are they harming? From what i can see, no one and nothing. They are a big part of the aquatic ecosystem and trophy hunting needs to be banned.  Once  they are all gone, who knows what can happen to the ecosystem.
