Are you okay with kicking people out of their home? LA has been of the most gentrified city. You can see this very clearly when you are walking down the streets of LA. you can see construction sites on every block with plans to build luxurious condos or mini mansions. We need to put an end to this by establishing rent control. With gentrification comes an increase in rent. Many people are being forced out of their homes due to the fact that they cannot afford their rent. 

   The vision for our future is to make house rent more affordable for families, a way is by lowering the monthly rent.

   A major issue that has riddled the streets of LA is gentrification. Gentrification is when an area or community is renovated to bring in more privileged people to that area. Over the years, gentrification has gotten worse and worse. "since 1970, the number of poor persons living in urban high-poverty neighborhoods has doubled to four million, and the number of such neighborhoods has nearly tripled to more that 3,000."-nextcity.org. In 2016 American Community Survey  by the 2000's US census the number one most gentrified area in America was downtown LA.

   For example a new development that is occurring in Castaic led by northlake associates. The purpose being to create and provide new affordable homes for families. "both phases would potentially  develop up to 3,150 residential units ." homestownstation.com. this will better our community one step at a time with better forms of living that can be spread in our community.  As well as in other parts of the world where gentrification is taking place.
