Today, beekeepers are forced to continue with the historically high death mortality within these bees. The queens and babies are also being affected at the same time. Bee's are important for many reasons. First off, lots of foods are dependent on honeybee pollination. Researchers had first found the massive deaths in the bee population in the 1990's. In the Spring of 2013 alone, a report had revealed the the average beekeeper lost 45% of their colony from the previous winter. Pesticides have been the topic that have gotten the most recognition through the media. The pesticide neonicotnoids are said to be one of the main causes of CCD. It is safe for humans but with research on neonicotnoids it could be very harmful to bees. The pesticide has already been banned in European countries (such as France) because of the link. Beekeepers along others have been trying to ban the pesticide in the States but has denied it because of the lack of evidence (which is nearly impossible to gather.)

The bees do so much for us and our current solutions are only a temporary fix. If people don't take action and stand up against the crisis it will be too late. Thats why we need to act now! Stand up against the government and ban these pesticides. If we don't the daily life that we are use to will soon be very different which includes 1/3 of fruits and vegetables disappearing without the bees.
