Benedict Cumberbatch is arguably the best British actor alive. With Daniel Craig aging, Eon Productions will soon name a successor as soon as his contract runs out. We, the public, wish this successor to be Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch for the following reasons.

1. Benedict Cumberbatch has the class, charisma and that mysterious aura around him that makes him a perfect candidate for the next 007.

2. He is at the peak of his career, with accolades coming in for The Imitation Game, strong performances in Star Trek Into Darkness, The Fifth Estate, Twelve Years a Slave and of course, Sherlock.

3. Casting the most popular British actor of our time will only bring benefit to Eon Productions, as it will bring in more fans, more revenue and will promote the films to a much larger audience considering Benedict's fan following across the globe.

4. No other performers could be nearly as cool and broodingly suave as Cumberbatch.

5. Benedict Cumberbatch has proven himself as a lover and a fighter in different films. It gives him a perfect opportunity to put these two into one.

6.Keeping Daniel Craig on for too long would also lead to dissatisfaction with later performances like it happened with Roger Moore.

7. Benedict Cumberbatch represents what being British is all about, just like James Bond does.
