The comment period for the application to allow thiamethoxam to be sprayed directly on major food crops is ending on January 16th. As of this writing, ONLY 17 COMMENTS have been received.
This is an important moment for us to express our opposition and pressure the EPA to stop this. 17 comments is not enough – we need every signer of this petition to submit a comment. It only takes two minutes!
Please visit the link below to submit an official comment, explaining why you feel expansion of honeybee-killing neonicotinoid pesticides should not be approved.

Recent assessments by EPA scientists, and a large and growing body of independent science, have identified neonicotinoid pesticides as a major factor in catastrophic bee declines. Allowing Thiamethoxam to be sprayed directly on major food crops would pose an unacceptable risk to bees and other essential pollinators.
Please reject Syngenta's application for foliar application of Thiamethoxam to wheat, barley, corn, sorghum, alfalfa, rice, and potato crops, pending further assessment of the risks associated with this class of pesticides.
