The Leopold Tavern Public House, Albert Road, Southsea, is bring forced to close because of unfair, unreasonable and unrealistic leasing costs.  The Leopold is an integral part of Portsmouth and Southsea's local community, and has been recognised for the quality of its real ales, which are considered the best in Hampshire. The pub has steadily grown in popularity in the last few years, with the increased number of visitors being a well deserved achievement credited to the huge effort that the Landlord has made. 

The pub is well regarded for its support of local businesses - regularly stocking fresh food and drink from local independent suppliers. As an important part of the Portsmouth community, pubs like this shouldn't be shutting down. Let's all sign this on behalf of our community and stop Enterprise Inns forcing this well loved pub to shut down.
