We are looking at the sanctions published on the NMC website each month and recording the outcomes

The information is only for those sanctions available on the last day of each month - if a case runs into the. next month they won't be included.

This month has seen fewer cases and yet over half of them resulted in the nurse or midwife being taken out of practice either through Strike off or suspension orders. 

Many of those that recieved interim Conditions of Practice will struggle to gain or retain work also.

So far this year - according to outcomes resulted on the website:

• 203 given Interim suspension order
• 204 given Strike Off order
• 124 given Suspension order
