A recent Freedom of Information (FOI ) request to the NMC has found that since 1st April 2015 15 nurses have died whilst investigations are ongoing and before the case is closed.

Whilst we appreciate some of these may be due to natural causes we have further requested how many were recorded as suicide as we suspect a significant number.

This is the unseen affect of FtP and investigations  - there needs to be more awareness of mental health impact or more will feel there is no way out. Stress leading to ill health is unrecordable. PTSD is unseen
