This person signed the petition recently and has made some very valid points: I Own Falcon Recruitment and training yes a nursing agency who supply staff nationally. I am seeing a higher number of individuals informing us this is a fitness to practice issue so referring to the NMC. I must say once I ask for the incidents reports then speak with said nurse you more often than not find out. A. They did not do what is being alleged why 1. Not on ward at the time 2. not in charge of medication. 3. description is very different etc. Most issues can be resolved with re training or supervision. we support our staff fully if innocent it is a shame as so many nurses fear losing their NMC Pin now a days. I believe NMC need to look at educating the hospital managers on what must be followed when a allegation comes in. as it is becoming to easy to pass the buck on to NMC to investigate. We have some excellent nurses working in these hospitals under pressure every day, short staffed often. NMC & RCN Need do more to support the good nurses.
