
Today is World Mental Health Day. We must take care of emotional safety of our students.
Globally 1 out 4 students has diagnosable mental illness. Most of them may be of middle school or college students but the triggering point can be their early childhood ages.
I was recently talking to a preschool principal and came to know that a student of class KG was continuously questioned by his classmate as he is raised by his single mother.
I understand the bully was not intentional but the adverse effect in victim is profound and long lasting.
- Here mindful parenting and teaching play a great role.
- Both the bully and victim need to understand it's very normal to have a single parent.
- Teaching inclusiveness is vital one to ensure emotional safety of our future generation.
