Today, there was a bomb threat at a Highland Park elementary school. Fortunately, the threat was unfounded. Highland Park school district 112 employs both a full time School Resource Officer and a Director of Safety and Security.
A school resource officer can contribute to a coordinated and effective response to a bomb threat by assessing the situation, ensuring the safety of everyone involved, and facilitating communication and cooperation with law enforcement and other relevant agencies. Their presence can help maintain order and provide a sense of security during a potentially tense and dangerous situation.
Let’s keep encouraging District 103 to hire a school resource officer! Find others to sign the petition!
