Dear Supporters,
A Special Board of Ed Meeting has been announced for 5:00pm on Monday, April 24th to be held in the District Meeting Room of the Joseph M. Kiszka Educational Service Center located at 580 North 1st Bank Drive, Palatine. During this meeting, there will be an opportunity for Citizens to Address the Board.
It is crutial that supporters attend this meeting AND address the Board of Ed. They will be entering Executive Session to hold interviews of applicants that have passed their selection process. Currently, we know of 25 candidates who have applied. The number of candidates that will be chosen to interview is unknown. Our efforts to create a dialogue with Board Members Babcock, Ekeberg, Chapman, Seiffert, Gurion and Khan have been met with silence.
Shouldn't a local School Board, one who recently created a Community Engagement Committee after the failed $130 Million referendum be open and engaging with regard to the needs and concerns of the community? According the the action number VIII of the Agenda posted online, the BoE plans to select and appointment later that evening, after reviewing candidates for a total of three business days.
What can you do to help?
SHARE this petition! Make sure spouses, significant others, and all 18+ voters in the district are aware of just how fast this process, that the OUTGOING Board Members have chosen, is progressing.
ATTEND the Special Board Meeting on Monday, April 24th at 5:00pm and address the Board. 580 North 1st Bank Drive, Palatine
Thank you,
A Better D15
