March For Our Lives Chalk The Vote #TurnoutTuesday

In response to March For Our Lives #TurnoutTuesday CHALK THE VOTE, today we will blanket the sidewalks at Federal Plaza with the names of schools, victims, and survivors of gun violence or simply the word 'Enough.' With great sorrow but doubled resolve, we will add the Tree of Life Eleven.

Last week, student survivors of the Marysville Pilchuck HS shooting brought the Schools Say Enough Sidewalk Challenge to the University of Washington, along with 7K strips of orange fabric tied by Chicago students, representing all the children across the nation killed by gun violence since Sandy Hook. It stretches an entire city block. The fabric fence now installed on Paul Allen’s property in downtown Seattle where voters are considering Initiative 1639, the most comprehensive gun reform ever put forward on a ballot initiative.

Here in Illinois, voters are considering SB 337 Combating Illegal Gun Trafficking Act, a bipartisan bill that encourages better business practices among gun dealers and holds corrupt dealers accountable.

From Chicago to Seattle to cities across our nation...help bring an end to the gun violence epidemic. Enough is ENOUGH.
