I am just back from a prolonged period of leave and I wanted to share this update with you. I Will continue to keep you updated of any new information concerning thew safety issues around the River Kelvin.

I hope you are well? Please see below update on the Slushie Weir.
Warning signs have now been put up at Kelvindale Weir (Slushie), Queen Margaret Drive Weir and Great Western Road Weir. Image of sign is attached.
There have been a few complaints regarding the position of the sign at the side Emilis entered the water. I have gone back to river safety to see if this could be better positioned. There are 2 signs at the Kelvindale side of the river, that are fine.
All shrubbery/tree overhang on this section of path has been pruned back.
River safety are currently in talks with operations to install the life belts.
