AWARD PENALTIES FOR SHIRT PULLING IN THE BOX. (EFL)

If you have watched any Premier League games this season, or better yet Match of the day you may have noticed the introduction of a lot more Penalty kicks being awarded for shirt pulling inside the box. 

Before the start of the 2016/17 season Premier League officials went to every training ground and told players that it would be a penalty if they were caught shirt pulling inside the box.

You may have noticed a lot of teams have been doing this in recent times and personally think this is blatant cheating but whilst some referees give penalties most ref's are too afraid as understandably a penalty can be a massive game changer.

What we need is consistency. Shirt pulling is not part of football and should never happen in the game but whilst it is often punished in the rest of the pitch (and rightly so) it is very rarely punished in the box.
