My son played his last game last game On February 19, he come out of the locker room as he usually does crying. This time was different he begged me not to return to play with those kids, he just couldn’t do it anymore. The teasing, the bullying, the harassment…. Later that week I would sit down with 3 board members to let them know his decision to not finish the season. At this point they were very aware of the situations that had been going on, nothing have being done. This was a meeting that was supposed to stay in the people that were in that room. So we left quietly not saying goodbye to anyone, my other son finishing out his session. All was quiet, in their world. My son on the other hand was devastated. Not understanding why so many people hated him. Hated him because he wasn’t good enough at a sport. 

I get a call about a very public post about me and my child on facebook, over a month after he left. People who we were friends with, people who we had know for years and I thought knew who I was, who showed sympathy when my son would be bullied. Going as far as saying how wrong it is. They all jumped on, because I had a private conversation with the board members, and one of the went and told their friends. A private conversation turned my family into the most hated person in CYHA.

Per USA Hockey and NYSAHA what i spoke with these board members is protected, obviously for very good reasons. You will never find another person say anything about this organization because they saw what was done to my family, to my children. 

They have now become very good at covering their blatant disregard for USA Hockey and NYSHA codes of conduct. Fairness equality and fun are still not what is the core value. Winning it’s all about winning…. And those kids that are not worth their time, are still thrown away. Pushed aside and not given a second glance.
