Finally! News from Boca Chica!

I apologize to all who have supported our crowdfunding for not having any new info for so long! After the written permit had been processed for our dog feeding station in Boca Chica for which an additinal fee was charged, a new mayor was elected in Boca Chica which stalled everything. Tomorrow Emily Espinosa will travel for the third time from Santo Domingo to meet him. 2 meetings that had been scheduled before never took place. But we will not rest until our dream is reality! In the meantime the material for the construction of our "restaurant for dogs" has been bought, treated wood for 20.000 Dominican Pesos / 401 US Dollars / 346 EUR. The total price including matreial, delivery and construction will cost 42.780 Dominican Pesos / 858 US dollars / 741 EUR. We will present the bill when everything is complete. The rest of your donations will already be spent on dog food , also there we will present the bills. Please note the photo of the cat café that inspired the planning for our "dog restaurant" although it will of course be much bigger. It shall give you an idea of what the feeding station will look like: The base will be made from cement to prevent any water damage, the roof will be extended to all 4 sides and the station will be open at all 4 sides. Food and water bowls will be embedded in the concrete so they can't be stolen. It will be easy to clean by tossing water. 6 dogs will be able to feed at a time.
