This is about more than one tragedy — it is about a system that failed to protect a child.
Kumanjayi Little Baby should still be here. She should have been safe, cared for, and given every chance to grow up. Instead, critical warnings were missed or not acted on, and the systems meant to protect vulnerable children did not do enough.
That cannot continue.
Every child deserves safety, dignity, and adults who will act when something is wrong. They deserve a future better than the failures we are seeing today.
We need stronger safeguards.
We need real accountability.
We need urgent reform of the systems responsible for protecting children.
When children are harmed, there must be full accountability for what occurred. And when systems fail to respond, those failures must also be investigated and addressed.
Change only happens when people refuse to stay silent.
