As a concerned citizen and advocate for children's rights, I am writing to bring your attention to a horrifying case that highlights the urgent need for stronger child protection laws in Victoria. Recently, a child predator was found to have been working in childcare centers, sexually assaulting young children under the age of five without anyone knowing. This shocking revelation underscores the critical importance of improving our laws to protect our most vulnerable citizens from exploitation and abuse.

To prevent such atrocities from happening again, we must implement "Tessa's Law," a set of child protection regulations named in my honor, Tessa Murphy. These regulations would focus on ensuring thorough background checks for all childcare workers, enforcing stricter penalties for offenders, and providing better resources and support for children who have experienced abuse.
