Hi everyone!

Throughout these past few months, Annie (C/O 2022) and I (Isaac C/O 2025) have been working behind the scenes with some representatives at Everett Public Schools. If you currently attend H.M. Jackson High School, you may have noticed the “Resources for Sexual Assault & Abuse Support” posters throughout classrooms, hallways, and the annex. As far as I know, these have only been implemented in Jackson, but we are in the process of working to create a more broad and universal future. These posters were created with the help of Dawson Place and the Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse.

Another thing we are in the process of is making changes to Everett Public School’s health curriculum. We have been working with Corie Gudgeon (Career and Technical Education/Health & Fitness Director) to establish a more modern and inclusive curriculum. This coming Tuesday we have a scheduled meeting with her to go over the most recent edition of the GET REAL health curriculum.

Mr. Balla (JHS Principal) had also announced a new training rolling out to teachers regarding how to support students who report assault cases.
