Alert! Fischer, Minix, and Andrew Bailey Residents! This concept plan to acquire more land South of the Prowell tract is perplexing. Coweta County Administrator Michael Fouts and Transportation Director Tod Handley know for the sports complex to have a safe entrance and exit this design with the additional land would be the safest infrastructure improvement. The owners (thank goodness) refuse to sell, so instead of our county finding a more suitable piece of property, they are going to build an inadequate entrance on a blind curve just north of the dangerous intersection at Minix and Fischer Rd.

If this was a private entity coming in, I truly believe it would've be denied by BOZA. Safety critical traffic improvements, noise, light, and sound mitigation are all impossible for various reasons (not to mention the complete inability to provide the standard 200 foot buffer).

Coweta County is refusing to obey by their own zoning ordinances and zoning procedures. It wasn't until their hands were forced by Three Rivers that they even decided to start the process to apply for a Developments of Regional Impact Study.

Please email our commissioners. We expect them to raise the bar on their own projects not lower them. We are still waiting for the Andrew Bailey Roundabout they promised us and yet want to start this project before any infrastructure improvements. Failure to provide adequate infrastructure is unacceptable! Email or Call our commissioners today.
