Enfield Council’s final public local plan consultation closes on Monday 20 May 2024! One Week to go - Please submit your objections before then!
Enfield Council insist they need to build up to 10,000 homes on our cherished green spaces and countryside to meet their housing target. That’s untrue. The local plan ignores some brownfield sites and undercounts others, which would allow the target to be met without Green Belt release. We need to make sure the Planning Inspector understands this and appreciates how many people value our local countryside. Add your voice, please.
If you go to this website: https://enfieldsociety.org.uk/ it will explain the threats and what action you can take.
The online consultation form is straightforward to complete, and the website sets out all the planning arguments you need. You just need to put these into your own words.
You'll find an illustrated version of these instructions here:
Please preview the form before you make a start.
Please object to PL10 [Chase Park] which is the proposed large urban extension on the fields on both sides of Enfield Road/A110 leading from Enfield Town to Oakwood.
Also, SA10.1 Land at Chase Park South. This is the field where the horses graze. This site allocation is part of the overal PL10 - Chase Park policy. It's worth objecting to it separately because it covers the Enfield Road corridor, the fields on both sides and the Trent Park Equestrian Centre which will also be lost. Enfield Road should not be made an urban high street with blocks of flats on either side and we want the riding facility to stay!
Also, PL11 [Crews Hill] which aims to destroy all the garden centres for housing all the way up to the M25.
There are also options for other Green Belt sites and proposed Tall Buildings in the middle of historic Enfield Town and other locations.

We can do this. Together We Are Stronger!
