History is repeating itself - please can you help me one more time?

Hi Friends,

I didn’t think I’d be asking for your help again, four years on. But today we are seeing history repeat itself. 

Again, our energy bills are rising – by over £200. Again, wars we never asked for are causing instability in the oil and gas markets. And again, our fossil fuelled energy system has left us vulnerable to these price shocks. And we all pay the price in our bills. Meanwhile, the government uses our taxes to subsidise fossil fuel company profits!

Despite 650,000 (more than half a million) of us demanding better in 2022, our leaders haven’t learned. Not responded.

There has to be a turning point. Fossil fuels are cooking our planet while prices are freely ratcheted up and people freeze in their homes each winter. We need a green transition that puts fairness first, and ensures the benefits of plentiful renewables go to those who need them most.

The people who need cheap energy most can’t afford an electric vehicle, might not own the roof above their head for solar panels, or have the money for green home upgrades. We need a green revolution that puts them first.
