You are amazing. Your efforts in sharing this petition with your networks, and spreading the word about Energy For All, got this petition to over 660,000 signatures! This has been a springboard for Energy For All to win the support of 250 trade unions, community organisations, and MPs. And now, on October 1, we will be handing your signatures in to the new government in Downing St.

We know the public agree that everyone should have enough energy to cover their basic needs. With winter fuel payments axed for 10 million pensioners, and prices rising again in October, we are already putting Labour under huge pressure on fuel poverty. Our hand-in will pile on the pressure, and show popular support for Energy For All is so huge that it can’t be ignored.

Please take a couple of minutes to take three simple steps using the sharing tools on the Energy For All petition to:

  1. Share on Facebook
  2. Send via WhatsApp
  3. Tweet to your followers

And if you are in London, please join us at 10 Downing St on Tuesday, October 1 from 1.30pm.

Repeated price rises and loss of support have forced millions of people into fuel poverty. It is clear that fundamental change is needed to stop the misery and prevent deaths. With your help, Energy For All can make that change a reality.

While we’re updating you –

You can join the 20,000 people who have written to Ofgem in under a week calling for cruel energy bill standing charges to be scrapped. The charges that you have to pay before you use any energy at all. Abolishing these charges is part of Energy For All. Ofgem’s consultation closes TOMORROW – Friday 20 September – so you have 24 hours to email Ofgem to tell them to scrap standing charges: a first, significant step towards Energy For All.
