Hello everyone and thank you for your support. There was an official release from NAEMSO that states that endotracheal intubation is under review and will remain a skill until proven ineffective otherwise. The link is here: https://www.ems1.com/ems-advocacy/articles/295990048-NASEMSO-responds-to-questions-on-EMS-Scope-of-Practice-revisions/ I truly want to thank you all for your time and comments. I am certain that NAEMSO saw them and that we made an impact. While we may consider this a "win" I want to remind everyone that medicine is ever changing and as time goes on there will certainly be adjustments to what we know and are used to, and as long as that is what is proven best for the patient that is what we want. Although the last couple of days have been focused towards this skill possibly being removed we need to focus on the good things that are to be gained from this update such as: a definition of what critical care is, blood administration by paramedics, and ultrasound in the field, opioid pain management administration by EMTs These are all huge and if you have any experiences or words please share them with the same comment link to NAEMSO so that we can continue to grow to be the best patient care providers we can be. I think the next goal for a petition will be wage increases for EMS workers. There are many EMS workers that have to work two jobs to survive and I personally think anyone that is willing to take on the stress and danger involved in EMS should be able to live comfortably. Thank you for your support everyone. -Anthony
