Greetings Petition Signers,

GREEN WASHED: "habitat restoration" TOXIC SPRAYING OF PESTICIDES/HERBICIDES IS HAPPENING NOW Feb-March ON COASTAL BLUFFS from ROSS COVE to MOSS BEACH Marine Reserve*, so please be on alert if you witness this in County parks, public lands, or along roads!  If you can safely photo, note location, day, time, any details, and contact egadvocates@gmail.com...much appreciated

We need your help, please: voice your concerns, ask where and when herbicide spraying is planned, and protect public health and our environment instead of spraying, because alternatives to pesticides WORK without the toxic RISKS ! SMC

Supervisor Ray Mueller:  650-363-4569

HMB Review:  650-726-4424  press 3 for the Editor--we need this publicized!

*Spraying occurred yesterday, Feb. 10, at Pillar Point Bluffs (county parkland near the ocean--photos attached).   Spray DRIFT HAPPENS with constant ocean breeze. Rains spread the chemicals and they run off into the ocean.  Rains came tonight, Feb 11th and will continue thru Friday.

About 10-15 people, some with their dogs, witnessed this and 2 asked questions which they reported to us in the morning. The County has hired Go Native contractors who are spraying Oxalis plants.

Chemicals being used: Garlon 4 Ultra (Triclopyr, active ingredient) and Clearcast (Imazamox).  Oxalis is considered an invasive plant and covers an expansive area along miles of trails above the ocean there.  It appears seasonally.

Here is the chemical combination being used on sensitive habitat land where our pollinators, and wildlife live.

Active Ingredient in Garlon 4 Ultra- Effects, solubility, 1/2 life.References included.

Please Call them with your questions and concerns asap, as more spraying is likely planned in the weeks and months ahead unless we can get their cooperation. Last year, one of them actually said that they think "only a few of us" care about this.
Show them-- there are MANY of us !

Please share this petition to warn others and to encourage signatures.
This unnecessary toxic spraying is a source of pollution that we can actually STOP ---with your help !
