September is World Animal Remembrance Month, a time to honor the pets we have loved and lost and the unforgettable place they hold in our hearts.
Since 2013, Duo Duo Project teams have been on the ground in Yulin, where the infamous annual dog meat festival is held and other dog eating cities in China 365 days a year, working to end the dog and cat meat trade.
We have all experienced the gut-wrenching pain of losing a beloved pet. The dogs and cats who share our lives become part of who we are. They leave us with cherished memories, unconditional love, and a deeper understanding of the precious bond between people and animals.
For many of us, that love also inspires us to protect animals everywhere. Our mascot and namesake, Duo Duo, inspired us to do just that.
We want to celebrate the furry family members who have touched your life.
Throughout September, we’ll be reflecting on the joy our pets bring us, the special bonds we share with them, and the memories that remain long after they are gone.
