Because of your support, we have built a strong team in Yulin since 2013 and thanks to them, we always have our fingers on the pulse of what is happening in Yulin.
We want to share the good news that 15 dog meat restaurants have closed since 2025. Among them, 5 have closed in recent months. The recent dog meat restaurant closures are significant because it means business has been really, really bad for these restaurants, and they know that the shrinking Yulin Dog Meat “Festival” will not help them stay afloat.
Think about it: A gift shop wouldn’t close before the holiday season, would it? These businesses must be doing so poorly and losing customers that the owners have decided it's not worth staying open for even the busiest shopping days of the year.
Duo Duo Project is the only international organization with boots on the ground in Yulin 365 days a year. As of today,our community outreach and humane education programs in Yulin alone have reached over 80,000 local children and their families
