We regret to report that Robin Singh from Peepal Farm, Sahil from Pashuholic Animal Rescue, and their team faced brutal violence while attempting to save cattle illegally captured in Arla Gaun, Palampur. Despite securing the rescue of two animals, one cattle tragically succumbed to the harsh conditions.

Shockingly, the local authorities, led by the SDM of Palampur, are condoning the criminal actions observed:

• Violent Assault and Threats: The team was physically assaulted, threatened with their lives, and forcibly taken to the police station, while their cameras were destroyed—all under police supervision, who sided with the assaulters.
• Official Disregard: The SDM dismissed the team’s efforts, suggesting they should not have intervened, despite there being no aggression from the rescuers against the villagers.
