Big news! Thanks to our relentless advocacy, Mascots Matter and Illinois State Representative Maurice West have introduced groundbreaking legislation to ban disability-based mascots in public schools! 🎉

The Prohibition of Discriminatory Disability Mascots Act (HB3527) is now officially filed in the Illinois General Assembly. This bill will ensure schools align with federal disability protections and put an end to harmful mascots that perpetuate stereotypes.
