Thanks to all of you, we’ve now surpassed 1,000 signatures on our petition to retire the offensive “Midget” mascot. Together, we’re showing that inclusion matters and that no community should be defined by harmful slurs.

Next week, we’ll be meeting with the superintendent of one of the schools to discuss the impact this mascot has on the little people community and how they can take steps toward positive change. We’re hopeful this is the beginning of meaningful conversations with all the schools involved.

As seen in the photo, some schools continue to promote “Midget Pride” without understanding the harmful message it sends. It’s time for these schools to embrace inclusive mascots that everyone can rally behind.
