Thank you! For your signatures, your comments, your shares, and your generous "promotion" of the petition...we are uplifted and resolved by the responses we received on NDAFreeCampus' first day.
If you are so inclined, please continue share the petition widely. Because of the secrecy and fear that NDAs engender, we not be aware of the people in our lives who have been impacted, or who care about someone else who has been effectively silenced by an NDA. So much is possible, however, when human beings start communicating, sharing lived experience, and championing the core values that our co-founder Bob Leland created for NDAFreeCampus: value of a person, transparency, safe environments, and fair processes.
We have added the American Association of University Professors as our "decision maker" for this petition. When we have collected a robust number of signatures, NDAFreeCampus will resume our already-positive communications with AAUP leadership and share the petition and its signatories. The AAUP is a vital partner in working to uphold and preserve the integrity of our institutions of higher learning so that colleges and universities are safe places for faculty and students alike, and so they are positioned to contribute to a more just world.
