If a child can’t attend school due to anxiety, poor mental health, bullying etc.. the schools point blank refuse to let them learn remotely, despite having all the resources in place to do so.  I was advised today that my suicidal daughters absense from school was not authorised, as the cause of her anxiety did not happen in School (the kids bullying her go there though).  Would this be their approach if she had broken her legs off site I wonder?  The system is broken.  When school kids are essentially being given the message that mental health does not count as an “authorised” reason to be off, yet full grown adults could not be treated that way in the work place 😞
