Sanctuary Success: Just this year, two beluga whales were successfully transferred from a marine park in China to a new seaside sanctuary in Iceland, offering them a far more natural environment. Legislative Efforts: Countries like Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, and Croatia have already banned the keeping of cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises) in captivity. India has also outlawed keeping dolphins captive for entertainment purposes. This growing movement shows a global shift in how we view the well-being of marine life.
