Yesterday, at the Oklahoma State Fair, the OVMA spread more lies about the treatment of sows and how their lives look as breeding machines for factory farming.

The crowd watched on as a mother sow gave birth in a bright, perfectly clean, farrowing crate surrounded by vets and technicians... Not only is this horribly stressful for this animal, it is NOT the way they live their lives every day outside of the fair. These sows receive no veterinary care in the factory. They give birth in dark, dirty, painful warehouses..... they animals are abused and tortured their entire lives. Furthermore, the chances are that these babies that were born, the ones that this crowd loved to see SO much? They will never see daylight again once the fair is finished... they will be sent to a dark slaughter factory or be put back in the same situation as their mother.
