If you saw the last two updates for this petition, you will notice my message was incorrect in part of its text. I mistakenly wrote that the goal of this petition was to remarry Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in the monthly Spider-Man comics, when this petition certainly is not about that at all. The goal of this petition is, and always was meant to be, about Marvel Comics ending misogyny to their female characters such as Illyana Rasputin/Magik, who was left out of the last two updates entirely, and Mary Jane Watson and to fire the writers, editors and staff members at Marvel Comics who have allowed misogynistic stories and treatment to ALL of their female characters. For my first update, I had copied and pasted the text of my mentioned petition to remarry Peter and Mary Jane to include the links to other petitions I had created, but had forgotten to replace the text confirming this petition was about wanting Marvel to end their misogynistic treatment. When I posted my second update for this petition, I had copied and pasted the same incorrect text with it.
In other words: I made a mistake with my text. A HUGE mistake. TWICE.
The previous updates have been edited with the rightful text written in and I will do everything I can to make sure this mistake will NOT happen again. It was an honest, stupid, and understandably hurtful mistake. I wish to do what Marvel Comics should have done: admit I made a mistake, wish to offer my heartfelt apologies, learn from my mistake and not to repeat them. Making mistakes is what makes us human, but I certainly never meant to offend anyone with the incorrect text.
I wish to thank everyone who has signed and supported this petition so far. You have all been an incredible help and I hope that Marvel Comics corrects their mistake to Magik and to ALL of their female characters by writing better stories for them and treating them all with the proper respect. Sorry again for the mistake.
To those who celebrate it, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays, everyone.
